Welcome!
|
Zebulon is located in eastern Wake County and offers a small town atmosphere, warm and friendly people, and the willingness to reach out to newcomers and welcome them into the community. There is a diversity of housing available along with a strong industrial and commercial presence. Zebulon offers a variety of employment opportunities and a wonderful road system, making it a short trip to Raleigh to the west and Rocky Mount and Wilson to the east.
Zebulon also has a diverse recreation system, which includes six community parks with ball fields, soccer fields, tot lots, tennis courts, a disc golf course, basketball courts, a fully operational community recreation center, and various other services. We are home to Five County Stadium and the Carolina Mudcats a Class A-Advanced professional baseball team of the Carolina League.
Zebulon owes its existence to the decision made by the Raleigh and Pamlico Sound Railroad Company, which decided to bring the rail east through a dense pine forest in 1906. On February 16, 1907 the Town, consisting of 297.5 acres, was officially recognized as Zebulon, North Carolina, named after Zebulon B. Vance, the North Carolina Governor during the civil war.
Visit the Town of Zebulon and experience the amenities of a small community with the proximity and services of the larger Wake County. Come see for yourself why residents and businesses both agree that Zebulon truly is the “Town of Friendly People.”
