Let's Plan on It!

by Editors April 5 2016

As part of the American Heart Association's effort to promote healthy living, National Walking Day began in 2007, and is celebrated the first Wednesday in April to remind you about the health benefits of walking. You are encouraged to take a 30 minute walk - and the hope is for you to continue one of the simplest, most valuable things you can do for your health and well being.

Here are some great ways for you to make your 30 minutes more enjoyable:

Make sure to stretch your muscles
Make sure you have good posture
Wear comfortable clothes
Drink plenty of water
Move your arms

So join the effort, and plan to do something great for yourself tomorrow - April 6, National Walking Day - and don't forget to invite a friend.

Visit the American Heart Association for more information.
